Visual Diary: Mount Fuji Part 2
Following on from Part 1 and that epic sunrise in Fujiyoshida. I'll try not to overuse the word epic, but seriously… the views just kept delivering. Around every turn, it felt like the sleepy town was casually showing off.
Rather than jump on a train, I decided to take it slow and walk towards Lake Kawaguchi. I’d heard the views along the way were worth the extra steps and they absolutely were.
All the stories you hear about this place? They’re all true. It’s as picturesque as it gets. Mount Fuji, the absolute unit that it is, stands sentinel over everything. It looms in the best way, just waiting to be framed into any photo, no matter how wide or tight you shoot.
Here’s what I saw on the walk toward Lake Kawaguchi. There were plenty of charming little coffee shops and food stops scattered along the way too, which made the uphill sections more bearable (and more caffeinated).
Hope you enjoy the photos and thanks for following along.
