Visual Diary: Hiroshima

Leaving Osaka is a bit of a trip. You trade that high-voltage, neon CyberPunk chaos for a vibe that’s just… still. The shift is sharp. One minute you’re in the middle of the noise, the next you’re standing in a city that feels totally chill.

Hiroshima has this strange, heavy quiet to it. It’s tucked away in the gaps between the massive landmarks and those cramped, retro backstreets that look like they haven't changed in fifty years. It’s not loud, and nobody’s in a rush. It’s just super calm.

Walking around, you can’t really shake the history, it’s always there in the back of your mind. We all know the stories, but seeing that one black-and-white shot in the museum of the absolute, barren wasteland left behind really sticks with you.

But the actual city? It’s got layers to it. It’s not just a memorial, it’s a living stack of history sitting right on top of itself.

It’s also a top-tier walkable city… exactly my speed. The kind of place where you can just zig-zag through the streets and get lost in the process. I kept it simple with two primes: the Fuji 23mm f2 and the 90mm f2. Never felt like I needed anything else. That somber, calming energy just settled me right down and let me focus.

Anyway, here are a few frames from wandering around and stay tuned for Part 2 ✌️📸
